We are delighted to announce that Bart Van der Heyden has joined P Pod Seating as the new Clinical Lead. With a remarkable 27-year career in seating, wound care, and mobility, Bart’s expertise and experience are a tremendous asset to our team.
Bart’s professional journey started with his studies in physical therapy in Gent, Belgium. He then gained valuable experience in Germany, providing seating and therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy. His career further expanded in the USA, where he offered clinical consultations to wheelchair users, clinicians, and manufacturers worldwide. Additionally, Bart runs a physical therapy practice with his wife in Belgium.
Throughout his career, Bart has developed numerous training courses and workshops focusing on skin management, seating assessment, 24-hour postural management, and various seating techniques and interventions. He is renowned for his global presentations to seating specialists and has crafted innovative approaches to clinical problem-solving and outcome maximization.
Bart’s hands-on, multidisciplinary approach to clinical practice and seating is well-respected in the field. His addition to P Pod Seating marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide superior seating solutions globally.
